  • Taught a personally choreographed dance routine to a group of high school students to perform in the Rock Eisteddfod.

Communication Skills

  • Work experience at Diabetes WA has enhanced my communication skills through discussions with health professionals, writing proposals and designing online surveys.
  • 4.5 years experience in customer service roles.
  • Confident in communicating with people on all levels and ensuring their needs are met.
     

Team Work

  • Extensive experience working in a team environment through work experience at Diabetes WA, casual retail employment and university assessments.
  • These skills were also developed through leadership positions in high school where team work was essential and conflict resolution skills were developed.

Implementing Health Promotion Programs

  • Planning, implementing and evaluating the ‘Beat the Binge’ campaign for a university assessment.
  • The campaign targeted binge drinking and many university students attended the stall.
  • Media releases were written and an article was written on the campaign in the local community newspaper.

Computer Skills

  • Good use of Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel.
  • Also had experience with Survey Monkey.

Oral Skills

  • Volunteering activities, leadership roles and university requirements have involved many public speaking opportunities.
  • Communicating with the general public, asking them questions, and giving presentations has helped to further develop my public speaking skills.
  • I am very comfortable with public speaking roles.

  • Develop an energy balance tool to be included into the My Healthy Balance program.
  • Development involves researching, planning, implementing and evaluating the tool.
